TrueAvis and Trustpilot are not the same kind of thing
Trustpilot is a destination. Its value is that millions of people already go there and trust what they read. TrueAvis is infrastructure: the reviews live on your own domain, in your own database, under your own brand. Comparing them on price alone misses the point — but the prices are far apart, so they are worth seeing.
What each one costs
TrueAvis
| Plan | Price | Invitations | Domains |
|---|---|---|---|
| Self-hosted | Free | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Starter | €9 / month | 500 | 1 |
| Growth | €29 / month | 5,000 | 5 |

Trustpilot
| Plan | Price | Invitations | Domains |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 50 | 1 |
| Starter | $99 / month | 100 | 1 |
| Plus | $319 / month, per domain | 300 | up to 3 |
| Premium | $799 / month, per domain | 1,000 | unlimited |
| Enterprise | Contact sales | Unlimited | unlimited |
The gap is widest in the middle, where most businesses sit. Trustpilot Plus is $319 a month per domain and includes 300 invitations. TrueAvis Growth is €29 a month and includes 5,000 invitations across five domains. Two currencies and two products — but the invitation allowance is the axis both are sold on, and the difference is an order of magnitude in both directions.

Where Trustpilot is the better answer
Three things it has that TrueAvis cannot give you at any price:
An audience that is already there
People type a company name and “reviews” into a search box and land on a Trustpilot profile. A rating on your own domain is read by people who already found you.
Independence a reader can feel
Reviews you host are reviews you could in principle have chosen. TrueAvis answers this with a public page and a badge that cannot be faked by copying markup — but a third party holding the data is a stronger claim, and it is honest to say so.
Scale you do not operate
Trustpilot runs the infrastructure, the abuse handling and the fraud investigations. Self-hosting means the uptime is yours; the hosted TrueAvis plans move that to us, at our size rather than theirs.
Which to choose
Choose Trustpilot if
- Being found on a review site is part of how customers discover you.
- An independent third party holding the reviews matters to your buyers.
- The budget is there and the per-domain pricing suits your shape.
Choose TrueAvis if
- The reviews belong on your own pages, under your own brand.
- You want product reviews and API access without an add-on.
- You run several sites and will not pay per domain for each.
- You would rather hold the data, or host the whole thing yourself.
Trustpilot’s plans, prices and allowances above are taken from its own published pricing page at business.trustpilot.com/plans, checked on 26 September 2026. They are quoted in US dollars; TrueAvis prices are in euros and exclude VAT. Neither figure has been converted, because an exchange rate would make the comparison look more precise than it is. Trustpilot changes its plans from time to time — check theirs before deciding, and tell us if anything here has gone out of date.
